The Tsum Valley treks officially opened for the trekkers only onward 1991 and the main journey here is around Manaslu, reaching north of the Himalayas and circling the great Manaslu-Himalchuli-Bhudha massif. The Tsum Valley trekking is a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley situated in a trans-Himalayan region of Gorkha district in Manaslu region of Nepal. The Tsum Valley's acquaintance with Tibet, natural beauty and its pristine culture make this trekking unique. Tsum valley comes from the Tibetan work 'Tsombo', which means vivid. Against the majestic backdrop of the SringiHimal, Ganesh Himal, and BaudhaHimal ranges, this serene Himalayan valley is rich in ancient art, culture, and religion. The local people are mostly of Tibetan origin and seak a unique dialect.
Tsum valley trekking trails are strewn with artistic chortens and lined with Mani walls made of thousands of stone slabs carved with deities and prayers of Buddhism. The Tsum valley has a long history of Buddhism. The Buddhist saint Milarepa is believed to have meditated in the caves of their mountains. Traditionally Tsum valley was a culturally distinct geographical area called 'Tsum Tso Chuksum', which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory. TheTsum valley treks begins all the way drive from Kathmandu to Arughat bazar by drive about 8 hours drive. The trekking begins all the way from Arughat bazar to flowing continue Bhudigandaki to Tsum Valley and either you can trek all the way to Manaslu trek over Larke pass or directly same way back to Arughat and drive back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast sightseeing to historical and spiritual attractions including the historic Durbar Square, Boudhanath one of the largest stupas in the world, Swayambhunath Stupa top on the hill in the city knows as the Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath, Hindus biggest holy place, Sadhus and pilgrims bathing at occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the ghats, located on the holy Bagmati river. Overnight at Hotel
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat (620m),8hrs drive
After breakfast proceed journeys with drive through the beautiful river view, on the footsteps of Manasalu exciting drive over sometime bumpy road access. ArughatBazzar is clustered on both sides of the River Budi-Gandaki linked by a suspension bridge, this is the largest settlement in the valley and it is also a junction to various important places. The path from here across the River leads to Dhading&Trisuli Bazaar and Gorkha. Overnight at Guest house.
Day 04: Trek from ArughatBazar toSotiKhola (750m) ,6-7hrs
The trek start along the way through crossing suspension bridge over BhudiGandakienjoyingWITH splendid views of ShringriHimal ahead. The trail goes through the Gurung and Magar villages, past fields and cascading waterfalls, passing through cultivated land, with many scattered farmhouses and hamlets reaching the village of Mordar, Simre and then to Arket till we reach SotiKhola, overnight at Guest house.
Day 05: Trek from SotiKhola to MachhaKhola (960m),6-7hrs
The trail goes through the rice field, flowing of BhudiGandakiRiverand exploring people live hood, which is densely forested, passing through a number of small villages tucked into the hillside, till we reach a widening of the valley, opposite the point where a large tributary stream enters the BurhiGandakiRiver. The terraced cultivated fields belong to the upper village of Lapubesi and reach at small town of MachhaKhola. Overnight at guest house.
Day 06: Trek from MachhaKhola to Doban (1090m), 6-7hrs
The trail involves some steep ascents and descents through the trail gives the glimpses of diversity of flora & fauna, and people with different religion and cultures. The path descends to the wide, sandy riverbed which follows a trail meandering below the steep, craggy valley side an ascent a well - crafted staircase over a ridge to Doban. Doban means two river confluence of the stream together, where ShiarKhola comes from the east, and the Sarpukhola meet from the west. Overnight at gust house.
Day 07: Trek from Dovan to Philim (1580 m) ,6-7hrs,
The trail leads to more interesting farm villages and fields as the vegetation changes slowly, after crossing bridge and heading upstream to the tiny village of Kholabesi and the hot springs at Tatopani. During this trekking the narrow valley shaping by BudhiGandaki provides the magnificent vistas of Ganesh Himal, ShringiHimal and HimalChuli, as we continue up to the large Gurung village and fields of where they grow of Potatoes, corn and millet. On reaching Lauri we cross the Vana River on a suspension bridge from here leading to a climb on a high path, and then descending into open valley at place known as YaraKhola and continue trek to Philim, overnight at Guest house.
Day 08: Trek from Philim to Chumling (2370m),7-8hrs
The trek continue a head through up over a ridge that leads to Ganesh Himal Base camp and Chumling (Lower Tsum valley). We camp for the night at Chumling.Chhumling is a small village and overnight at guest house.
Day 09: Trek from Chumling to Chhekampar (Upper Tsum) (3055 m) ,6-7hrs
The trek start though entering the upper Tsum valley with beautiful viewing of a head provides spectacular view of Ganesh Himal range, BhudhaHimal and Hinuchuli. Overnight at guest house.
Day 10: Trek from Chhekampar to Chhule-Nile (3370m), 6-7hrs
The trek begins through the Milarepa Cavethe one of the most sacred caves in Tsum valley on the way and some Monasteries, to opportunity to view of the mountains and beautiful settlement with agricultural field and continue walk to Chule Nile, overnight at guest house.
Day 11: Trek from Chhule-Nile to Mu Gompa (3700 m), 3hrs trek
The trail gradually ascending to the largest monastery of this region call Mu Gumba and take time for the lunch and after lunch hike another famous monastery of DhephyudongmaGompa. You will get an opportunity to see in those monastery very old religious books, to call Kanggyura life sized statue of Avalokiteshwara, and images of Guru Padmasambhava and Tara. The Tsum valley situated between rugged mountains and further hike to see the Chhysang Tal. Trek back to MU Gompa and overnight at guest house.
Day 12: Trek from Mu Gompa to RachenGompa (3260 m), 5-6hrs
After breakfast trek start to the RachenGompa wish is situated in the SherKhola valley in the foothills of the mountain boardering Nepal and Tibet to the North. RachenGompa is largest Nunnery Monastriey in the Tsum valley was established during 1905 AD. Overnight at guest house.
Day 13: Trekfrom RachenGompa to Dumje (2405m) -6 -7 hrs trek
Beautiful walking through barley field and pasture of yaks grazing in grassy meadows, rustic stone houses hugging the trail, long stretches of hand-carved mani stones and stacked mani walls, ancient villages dotting the landscape, passing several chortens perched high on ridges, snow-capped Himalayan peaks scratching the deep blue sky, high remote mountain passes threading into Tibet, maroon-robed Buddhist monks and nuns fingering prayer beads, and hard-working kind-hearted villagers warmly wel come to this land. Overnight at gust house.
Day 14: Trek fromDumje to Philim via Ripchet (1580 m) ,6-7hrs trek
One the way pass one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Lower Tsum Valley, Samba TingdingChhupyang. This is the village which lies along the trial from GumpaLaundang to Philim village. The houses are completely built from stone and roofs are pine wood and mud. The houses are associated in linear pattern along the trial. There are remarkable numbers of Mani walls and Chhorten. overnight at Phiilim, Guest house.
Day 16: Trek from Philim to Tatopani (875m) ,6-7 Hours
Trek continue to Tatopani (hot spring) most of the trail is descend to reach and you can relieve your tired muscles from many days by soaking yourself in the hot spring. Overnight at tatopani. Guest house.
Day 17: Trek from Tatopani toSotiKhola (785m), 6-7hrs,
Walking through terraced fields and tropical waterfalls cascading off soaring cliffs, rivers tumbling wildly down precipitous gorges, over jungle and crossing several small stream and finally reach at the SotiKhola a Gurung Village. We stay overnight at SotiKhola, overnight at guest house.
Day 18: Trek from SotiKhola to Arughat Bazar (545m) ,6-7hrs,
The trek start all the way through some beautifull landscape and rice field over crossin several stram and villages.This is our last day trip, as we make our way from SotiKhola to Arughat Bazar. Overnight at Arughat bazar.
Day 19: Drive from Arughat Bazar to Kathmandu (1365m) ,8-9hrs by drive
Today we drive back to Kathmanduvia private transport via DadingBensi and Naubise to reach at Kathmandu. City overnight at Hotel.
Day 20: leisure day in Kathmandu and shopping day
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Squire, Shopping and leisure day in Kathmandu, final culture dinner,
Day 21: Departure to the Kathmandu airport and fly back to home,
Drive to Kathmandu airport and fly back to back to destination.
